The impact that the Legal Resources Foundation (LRF) is making at the grassroots level on matters of climate justice is remarkable. Today’s launch of the compendium marks a significant milestone for the Foundation. I understand that this idea began in 2021, and to finally witness the launch, hold a physical copy of the document, and see all that has been achieved is truly inspirational.
The collaboration between LRF, the Judiciary, and other stakeholders across Kenya is commendable. Seeing all of them in the same room today, taking this conversation seriously, and witnessing the unveiling of a document that can be used by students, policymakers, and legal practitioners to anchor climate justice in law and regulation is truly encouraging.
It was such an honor to be here today. I would like to say kudos to the team for pushing through. It’s not easy to bring everyone together especially when different people have varying visions and ideas, but seeing the kind of collaboration and partnerships that LRF is fostering across the country is truly inspiring.
